We are firmly convinced that effective referendums and initiatives will work to restore trust in government. So, our first step will be to test our belief. How? By focusing on one state: California.
Why California? Doesn’t it already allow referendums and initiatives? Yes, but as most California voters will agree, California’s system is not ideal, to say the least. We call it “half-baked.” Our plan is to fix California’s system so that it can serve as a bona fide example of what’s possible and serve as a model of what can be done on a national level. Once the results in California prove our claims, we would then expand referendums and initiatives to the country as a whole.
