The Save America Project was founded by Joe Leadem. Joe’s short biography: he is 60+ years old; graduated from Dartmouth College and has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley; is a resident of Sonoma County, California; started and ran a very successful small company for over 30 years. Politically, he is an Independent.
Initiatives and referendums are commonplace in Switzerland and have contributed to the strong level of trust in Swiss government. California imported these tools and uses them continuously. But they have significant flaws. Joe is convinced that improving the initiative and referendum process will also strengthen the trust in our government. Joe is not alone. Many people are now supporting and involved with this effort. We have people from across the political spectrum. While we all may have different views as to the appropriate role and scope of government in our lives, we all agree that the current governing process in United States is broken. And we all feel it’s on us to do something about it. If you agree with our proposed plan for fixing the country, we hope you will also join this effort, regardless of your political leanings.
